RESTORATION FOR
RIVERS, LAND AND PEOPLE
On Saturday October 8, RisingLeaf Watershed Arts offered the second annual Watershed Festival of Life.
The festival day began with Deborah Streeter presenting
the Gathering
of the Waters ceremony with a ten-foot long steelhead puppet leading
the
way. Stepanie

Simplicity and In Service of the Wild was the keynote speaker. Her talk was on

Organizations and businesses were represented that focus on promoting
river and watershed health. There was a showing of the documentary
Stuck in the Mud: The Pajaro River in Peril by Santa Cruz resident Lois
Robin.
